A club review that renews itself, Notifications on the navbar, and who owes what at a glance

Fewer Things to Keep Track Of

Most of what's new this cycle is Centerline remembering something so you don't have to: where that notification went, when your club review is due, who still owes the club money. Nothing here changes how you book a plane.

Notifications Have a Home on the Navbar

The bell dropdown is gone. Notifications is now a regular link in the navbar, between Members and Setup, with your unread count on it. On a phone there's a bell next to your avatar and a row in the menu. Either way, a tap lands you on the full page instead of a cramped popover.

  • Writing a notification now happens in one place: the New Notification button on that page. Any member can send one from there, not just admins.

  • Old notifications clear themselves after 90 days. The exception is a required notification you haven't acknowledged yet. That one stays until you do.

Your Club Review Renews Itself

If your club turns this on, finishing a flight that had a club instructor on the reservation moves your club review date to the day of the flight plus the club's chosen number of days (365 unless they pick something else). You'll see an in-app notification with the new date, and your profile and dashboard update right away.

A few rules so nobody is surprised:

  • It only moves the date later. If your review is already further out, nothing changes.

  • The instructor has to be on the reservation. A maintenance flight doesn't count, and neither does flying with a CFI who wasn't booked.

  • Manual log entries don't trigger it. The flight has to be finished from the app.

For account owners: go to Setup → Rules → Currencies, switch on Automatically update club review date when member flies with a CFI, and set Days of currency extended. It's off until you turn it on.

For Account Owners: Two New Reports, One Honest Column

Member Balances is under Reports → Financial for clubs with billing on. One row per current member with charges, credits, and balance as of a date you pick. Prepaid credit shows green with a "+", money owed shows red, members at zero are still listed, and anyone locked out for non-payment is badged so they don't hide. Pick a few members or run it for everyone, then export to CSV before the board meeting.

Equipment Usage is under Reports → Operations for booking admins and owners. Bookings and hours booked per item over any date range, with a bar chart and a sortable table. If the spare headset is booked every Saturday and the bike never is, this is where you find out.

Last Activity replaces Last Login on the Members list and the member edit page. Last Login was almost meaningless because a sign-in lasts for months. Last Activity is the newer of the last sign-in and the last thing the member actually did in the club: a reservation, a flight, a squawk, a payment, an event sign-up.

Smaller Fixes Around the App

  • Navbar labels now sit under their icons, so all eleven links fit on a laptop screen without wrapping.

  • The 24-hour flight reminder (app, email, and text) names the equipment booked with the flight.

  • Aircraft lists and cards show a plane icon instead of the photo. Photos still appear on the TV dashboard and the Edit Aircraft form.

  • The TV dashboard hides the mouse cursor when it's idle, so the wall display isn't stuck with an arrow in the corner.
