Changing Your Email Address
Last updated 7/20/2026
Overview
Your email address is more than a login — it's where Centerline sends reservation reminders, backup-promotion alerts, certificate-expiration warnings, and password resets. If that address changes because you switched providers, left a work account, or simply want a different inbox for club mail, keeping it current ensures you don't miss the notifications your flying depends on. You can update it yourself, without waiting on an administrator.
Because your email is also how you sign in, Centerline treats changing it as a security action rather than a routine profile edit — so it lives on the Security tab alongside your password and passkeys.
Changing Your Own Email
- Open your Profile and select the Security tab.
- Find the email address section.
- Enter your new email address and save.
- Follow any confirmation step Centerline presents. For security, a verification message may be sent to confirm the change before it takes effect.
Once the change is confirmed, use your new email address the next time you sign in. Your reservations, flight logs, billing history, and all other records stay exactly as they were — only the address on the account changes.
If an Administrator Changes It For You
Account Owners and members with the User Management role can also update a member's email address from the user's edit screen. This is useful when a member can no longer access their old inbox to complete a self-service change, or during onboarding when an address was entered incorrectly. If your administrator changes your email on your behalf, sign in with the new address afterward.
Tips
- Use an address you'll keep. A personal email outlasts a work account — if you ever change employers, club notifications won't be cut off.
- Update it promptly if it changes. Password resets go to your account email, so an out-of-date address can lock you out at the worst possible moment.
- Check your spam folder after switching. If notifications stop arriving at the new address, confirm Centerline's mail isn't being filtered — see Not Receiving Emails.
- Keep your password strong too. Your email and password together protect your account; review Changing Your Password and consider adding a passkey for faster, more secure sign-in.
